Let's get started with our first question. Q1 - Name one barrier you experienced in your academic or professional life and how flexibility may help to achieve the desired results.

A1-I struggled with taking assessments. One way flexibility would've helped me was to have a portfolio option instead of an assessment.

Next question...Q2 - What online tool has helped you in your studies, and how has it benefited you?

A2- @quizlet has helped me learn how to better prepare for assessments over the years, and I have also used their game Quizlet Live with my students.

Last question. Q3 - What is one strategy you use for time management that could help others?

A3- I recommend Backwards Design. This has helped me considerably, especially with long-term projects that are significant papers. This way, I can map out how to complete the assignment while keeping to a schedule.

Reflection:

This was my first session on Twitter or "X." It was very fast-paced, maybe a little too fast for my liking, but I liked the questions and the thoughtful answers. I especially appreciated the honesty of Ashley's answer to question 1 and how she had received a concussion, which posed academic challenges for her. This X session was the same week my son received a concussion and was facing challenges getting his assignments done. Dealing with education as an educator and a learner is all about barriers. Barriers that face us as educators can sometimes be limited time, money, and resources. Learner barriers are, of course, varied to the individual and are different to each learner as their fingerprint. Overcoming barriers should be the primary concern of the learner and the educator. This is UDL. The educator and learner should be on a mission to overcome these barriers. Many classmates touched on this in our X chat. I agreed with one response of flexibility in instructional delivery. It sounds so simple, but it is a significant barrier many educators must have to reach their learners. By the end of my first X session, I felt confident going forward. I was also inspired to hear all the different insights into the other questions, and our ability to share the wealth of resources was refreshing.
